Summer 2024

Feliz Verano - Happy Summer! At AGM we are extremely busy, even during this slower time of year! We wanted to post a few new pictures to keep everyone informed of our activities. Please have a wonderful summer and check our website often for new pictures and information!

Spring / Easter Season 2024

The amazing Spring weather continues in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, and we are busier than ever! We continue to conduct workshops, art, computer, and English classes, and of course we celebrated Palm Sunday & Easter. As summer approaches, and many winter visitors return home, we want to give grateful thanks to all who helped up in person this high season, and all of you that support us throughout the year!

Winter 2024

We continue to be very busy this High Season in Puerto Vallarta, and really appreciate the hands-on assistance we receive from our winter visitors! Some of the projects ongoing or concluded include an Art Class for the children of Progreso, Bible Studies, Computer Classes, diaper distribution, a knitting group, schoolchildren financial support, and the issuing of Preaching Certificates. With your generous help we were even able to repair the roof on the casa for Liliana Mendez and her family!

Summer / Fall 2023

The seasons are changing, and AGM is busier than ever! In addition to our ongoing Bible Study & English classes, we are also holding workshops and creating youth programs. With the support of our amazing donors, many of the children are receiving receive backpacks, laptops, and school tuition assistance. Thank you again and enjoy the season wherever you may be!

Spring 2023

This Spring we are still very busy and the mission continues to grow! We thank all the volunteers that assisted us during the High Season in Puerto Vallarta. For those that stay in PV year-round we continue to meet in the village of Progreso every Saturday afternoon and would love for you to join us. Fall 2022

This Fall we are busier than ever! In addition to our regular activities, we have been holding children's craft classes and one of our favorite activities, the distribution of tennis shoes to the school children, many of whom have to walk everywhere they go. The purchase of these shoes would not be possible without your support - we and the children give you many heartfelt thanks!

Diplomas of Achievement 2022

As summer comes to a close and the new school year is on the horizon, we presented Diplomas of Achievement to the children of the Progreso community. These diplomas were awarded to those children graduating from Kindergarten and to the children moving on from Elementary School, Junior, and Senior High School. The children were also rewarded with pozole soup, pizza, and cakes! This summer we also wrapped-up our computer workshops and Home Economics classes, along with continuing our ongoing diaper distribution and Bible study sessions.

Spring / Early Summer 2022

As we continue to mourn the loss of our beloved Pastor Stanley, the Amazing Grace Mission programs keep growing! January / February 2022

The new year is off to a tremendous start at AGM! Never before have we had so many projects and activities in progress or planned. We could not do this without your support - we cannot thank you enough! Below are some pictures of diaper & bedspread deliveries, along with photos of our Jr. High & High School Ministries. Winter 2022

2022 is off to a great start at AGM - Our congregation is growing by leaps and bounds! Our Saturday afternoon service in Progreso is seeing many new faces, and our mission outreach is now including computer training for the youth of Progress. Please enjoy our most recent photos below...

2021 Christmas Party

We recently held our annual Christmas Party in Progreso - attended by over 250 people (including 100 children)! We distributed super-despensas (bags of groceries) with 10 items in each, as well as chicken dinners including rice and beans. There were gifts for all, and the mothers prepared hot meals for everyone in attendance. The children acted out the Posada (story of Jesus' birth) and sang several Christmas songs. The kindergarten children performed 'Yes, Jesus Loves Me' in English and 'Feliz Navidad', wearing angel wings made by ladies from the Mission. A very special time was had by all!

Tennis Shoe Distribution

In November 2021 we were so pleased to distribute 53 pair of brand new tennis shoes to the students of Progreso - the smiles on their faces says it all!

Back To School 2021

We are so proud to see the schoolchildren of Progreso going back to school. Thanks to all of you for your thoughtful donations that helped provide these special kids with backpacks and school supplies!

Backpack / School Supply Donations

On Saturday, August 14th, we were blessed to provide backpacks and much-needed school supplies to 62 Progreso-area students prior to the beginning of the new school year. We cannot do this without all of your support, so many thanks to everyone that helped us with this special project!

Fathers Day 2021

Fathers Day was a very special event this year. The children took special pride in singing for the fathers, and reciting poems for them. After the service carne asada tacos were served, along with additional snacks and refreshments. Before departing, all the fathers received a cap. Everyone in attendance felt the presence of the Lord during this remarkable afternoon!

May 2021

May 2021 was a very busy month! We had a Mission Leadership Appreciation Dinner at the Galerias Mall, a much-appreciated donation of mattresses & bed frames, and of course, we celebrated all the mothers during our annual Mothers Day celebration. We are so blessed to be able to get together again, and many things we could not do without your support!

Furniture Donation

AGM received a major gift of home furniture from a couple in the AGCC congregation. We have volunteers who helped with the delivery, and 4 small truck loads brought everything. This is such a blessing for so many of the families in Progreso who have little or no furniture at all. Praise the Lord for these many blessings!

Holy Week 2021

Amazing Grace Missions celebrated Palm Sunday and Easter in Bosques de Progreso again this year. It was a wonderful service and was well attended. We preached the story of Jesus' resurrection and triumph to everyone, then the children reenacted Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.

Winter 2020-21

The winter season is a beautiful time in Vallarta, as the weather cools off and the tropical humidity drops. December is also a very busy month for AMG. In December 2020 we had a leadership meeting, dinner donations, and we also had donations of a refrigerator, groceries, clothing, games, soaps, and even watermelons! Of course the month caps off with our annual Christmas celebration (including a live nativity scene). On January 9, 2021 we celebrated Kings Day, where the children reenact the story of the Wise Men. As we wrap up this challenging year of 2020 we thank each and every one of you for your donations and support!

Fall 2020

Even with the Covid-19 pandemic in the background, we are keeping very busy through it all! In addition to keeping our Saturday afternoon service schedule, we are hosting Bible Studies, a Children's Ministry, and celebrating graduations. As always, we thank everyone for their support!

Tennis Shoes for the children

From the thoughtful donations we received we were able to distribute tennis shoes to the children of Progreso. For some of these kids, it was the first pair of new shoes they have ever owned!

Back to worship - September 5, 2020

With God's blessing we were able to resume our Saturday service in the village of Progreso on 9/5/2020! Masks and social-distancing were in place, and we were pleased to be greeted with a great crowd. We look forward to slowly opening things up slowly as we head towards the end of the year, however just the act of worshiping together again is both amazing and humbling. Thanks be to God!

Students Promotion / Supply Distribution 2020

At AGM we love helping the schoolchildren! We were there when many of the children of Progreso were awarded certificates showing completion of one stage of their education, and allowing them to move on to the next level. We also had fun handing out back packs and school supplies as well. We are so proud of these kids, and we will always support them. The sky's the limit for these amazing students!

Giving during times of pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic has placed the world in crisis. The villages of Puerto Vallarta have not been immune to this crisis, and the families of Progreso are suffering with illness, job loss, and depression. Amazing Grace Missions has been very active in helping these strong men, women, and children. We are pleased to have helped some of the families pay their rent and utility bills. We have also assisted by delivering food, personal care items, sheets, soaps, diapers, and even a mattress! We continue our weekly delivery of groceries, and look forward to resuming our Saturday afternoon services very soon. Amazing Grace Missions and the families of Progreso thank you for your support, and pray that you stay healthy and safe!

Winter 2020

It has been a busy Winter Season at Amazing Grace Missions. We celebrated Valentines Day with our local children, held English classes for the youth, and delivered backpacks to students in need of them. In addition, the Rotary Club of Parker, Arizona came down to Puerto Vallarta to deliver water filtration systems to the residents of Progreso. All are welcome to join us in our activities that are in progress year-round!

Christmas Party 2019

Our annual Christmas Party was held on Saturday, December 14, 2019. A great time was had by the local families, and our volunteers had a wonderful time as well!

Wedding Before God

On November 9, 2019 we were honored to perform the wedding ceremony between Corina and Luciano. We wish them a bright and happy future!

Children receiving backpacks, school supplies, & Assistance

Each year we distribute backpacks and school supplies to the schoolchildren of Progreso. This is one of the most fun and satisfying programs we do throughout the year, and we thank everyone that assisted or donated to this cause! In addition, our mission is helping the parents of 33 students with assistance in paying school registration costs and other school expenses.

Graduation Day 2019

Once a year we celebrate all the children that complete the school year successfully. Each student is recognized individually, and also asked their ambition in life (to be a teacher or veterinarian, etc.) It is a big motivation for the kids!

Palm Sunday 2019

Palm Sunday 2019 was enjoyed by everyone in attendance! This year we had a tremendous turnout, and the children had a wonderful time. Palm Sunday is increasingly becoming an annual service that should not be missed!
